My name is Catie Simpkins, and I am a product photographer for tea and teaware brands. I am a Tennessee native who grew up as an artist and tea lover.
My love of tea started when I was very young, and began growing my practice and knowledge 9 years ago - with expertise in Gong Fu Ceremony (Chinese Tea) and Masala Chai from India, as well as a personal practice of Japanese tea, African teas, English Afternoon tea, and more! I also love to create new ways to make tea like modern cafes - with flavors, latte art, and unique twists!
I began taking photos and videos of my tea as a hobby, but it turned into a realization that my love of photography and videography could be used to help these brands that I love and use: by giving them a library of content that tells their brand story.
